Colocation Cabinet FAQs
Everything you need to know before you move your servers into a VyomCloud cabinet.
A colocation cabinet is a lockable enclosure inside a data centre. You install your own servers and network gear. The provider looks after space, power, cooling, connectivity and security. You own and manage the hardware. Learn more about server colocation.
They differ in space and power. Quarter is 10U with 1 kVA. Half is 21U with 2 kVA. Full is 42U with 3 kVA and dual 1 Gbps links. Start by checking your total power draw, then look at rack units. You can also explore the 1U rack colocation, half rack and full rack pages.
kVA is apparent power. kW is real power. The formula is kW = kVA × power factor. Most modern servers run around 0.9 power factor, so 3 kVA gives roughly 2.7 kW.
Customer-supplied cabinets are not supported. We provide standard cabinets that meet the facility's size, weight and safety requirements.
Technicians handle physical tasks on your instruction, reboots, cable checks, part swaps and similar work. 30 minutes per month is included. Extra time is available on demand.
Yes. You can move from Quarter to Half to Full, or into a Custom Cage, usually within the same facility. For non-standard builds, see customised bare metal.
VyomCloud prices start at ₹9,999 per month for a Quarter Cabinet (10U), ₹18,999 for a Half Cabinet (21U) and ₹34,999 for a Full Cabinet (42U). Custom cages are quoted separately. See our full pricing.
Space-wise you can fit up to 42 units of 1U equipment. Power is the real limit. A 3 kVA allocation usually supports around 6 to 10 typical 1U servers plus switches.
Full cabinets are private and lockable. Quarter and Half cabinets are also dedicated lockable sections, your equipment is not mixed with anyone else's inside the same cabinet.
You can ship them to us or bring them yourself. Our team can rack, cable and power them on request. Overseas shipments will attract customs and import duties. Our migration service can also help you move existing servers.
The facility uses biometric entry, CCTV and continuous monitoring. Your gear sits in lockable cabinets. A Custom Cage adds a private fenced area for extra isolation. Read our SLA for service commitments.
