This means they feature N+1 redundancy for all critical systems (power, cooling, network), concurrent maintainability without service disruption, and fault tolerance for most components. Our Tier III+ facilities offer 99.99% uptime, while our Tier IV facilities provide 99.995% uptime. All our data centers undergo regular certification and assessment to maintain these standards.
We implement multiple layers of physical security at all our facilities. This includes 24/7 on-site security personnel, perimeter security with controlled access points, CCTV surveillance with 90-day footage retention, biometric access controls (fingerprint and/or retina scans), mantrap entries requiring multi-factor authentication, and individually locked cabinets and cages. Additionally, we maintain detailed visitor logs and require proper identification for all personnel entering the facility. All security systems are regularly tested and audited to ensure compliance with international standards.
Our data centers are carrier-neutral, allowing you to choose from multiple network providers for optimal performance and redundancy. Each facility houses numerous Tier 1 providers, regional carriers, and internet exchanges. We offer diverse entry points for fiber connectivity, redundant cabling pathways, and a variety of connection options including 1Gbps, 10Gbps, 100Gbps, and dark fiber. Cross-connects are available to connect directly to carriers, cloud providers, and other customers within the facility. Our network infrastructure is designed with redundancy at every level to eliminate single points of failure.
Our power infrastructure is designed with multiple redundancies to ensure continuous operation even during utility power failures. This includes dual utility feeds from different substations where possible, N+1 UPS systems with battery backup providing immediate power during outages, and diesel generators that activate automatically within seconds of a utility failure. Our generators have at least 72 hours of fuel on-site with priority refueling contracts. We conduct regular maintenance and testing of all power systems, including full load tests of generators. Additionally, all critical equipment receives power from two separate power distribution paths (A+B power) to eliminate single points of failure.
Our data centers maintain numerous industry certifications and compliance standards to ensure we meet the highest levels of security, reliability, and operational excellence. These include ISO 27001 for information security management, SOC 1 Type II and SOC 2 Type II for operational controls, PCI DSS for handling payment card data, HIPAA compliance for healthcare data, and various regional certifications depending on the facility location. Our European facilities are fully GDPR compliant, while our Singapore facility meets the requirements of the MTCS (Multi-Tier Cloud Security) standard. We undergo regular independent audits to maintain these certifications and can provide customers with compliance documentation to support their own compliance requirements.
We offer comprehensive support services at all our data centers. Our Remote Hands service provides 24/7 technical assistance from qualified technicians who can perform tasks such as equipment reboots, component replacements, cabling work, and visual inspections. For more extensive support, our Managed Services team can handle full infrastructure management, including monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, and optimization. Each facility has a Network Operations Center (NOC) that continuously monitors all systems and responds to alerts. Customers can submit support requests through our portal, by phone, or email, with response times defined by SLAs based on issue severity. We also offer scheduled maintenance windows and implementation planning assistance for complex projects.
Sustainability is a core focus in our data center operations. We implement numerous eco-friendly measures, including energy-efficient cooling systems with free cooling where climate permits, hot/cold aisle containment to optimize airflow, high-efficiency UPS systems, LED lighting with motion sensors, and server virtualization to maximize hardware utilization. Our newer facilities achieve Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) ratings as low as 1.2, significantly better than industry averages. We also incorporate renewable energy through on-site solar installations at some locations and renewable energy purchasing programs. Water conservation is achieved through closed-loop cooling systems and rainwater harvesting where feasible. We're committed to continuous improvement in our environmental performance, with regular audits and upgrades to more efficient technologies.
Our data centers provide comprehensive disaster recovery capabilities to ensure business continuity. This includes geographic redundancy across our data center network, allowing you to replicate data and applications between facilities. We offer dedicated disaster recovery suites that can be rapidly deployed during emergencies, backup power and cooling systems that activate automatically during failures, and regular disaster recovery testing programs. Our facilities are designed to withstand natural disasters with reinforced construction, elevated equipment to prevent flood damage, and lightning protection systems. Additionally, we provide backup and replication services, DR consulting to help develop tailored recovery strategies, and guaranteed SLAs for recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs) based on your specific requirements.
